As part of the expansion of the Antofagasta Desalination Plant, Aluma Systems supported the construction of new reinforced concrete structures that will significantly increase drinking water production capacity in one of the world's driest regions. Working in close collaboration with the contractor, Aluma Systems delivered engineered formwork, shoring and access solutions that supported safe, efficient construction while meeting demanding project schedules.
The project required versatile solutions for the construction of walls, columns, beams and suspended slabs across multiple work areas. Tight construction schedules, complex concrete structures and the need for uninterrupted equipment availability demanded careful planning, engineering expertise and responsive on-site support. Safe access systems were also essential to facilitate reinforcement works and provide efficient working platforms throughout the project.
Aluma Systems provided a complete package of engineered formwork, shoring and access solutions tailored to the project's requirements.
The MANTO and RASTO wall formwork systems were used to construct the walls and columns of the intake building, delivering high productivity and excellent concrete finishes.
For the construction of internal beams and floor slabs, the TOPFLEX slab formwork system was combined with ID 15 shoring towers to provide efficient and reliable support.
MODEX modular shoring was used to create safe working platforms for reinforcement activities and access stairways, improving productivity while maintaining high safety standards across the jobsite.
Throughout the project, Aluma Systems complemented its equipment supply with engineering services and on-site technical supervision, ensuring that every solution was optimized for the project's structural and logistical requirements.
